Who we are
TRIAD is made up of a group of researchers with an interest in intentional and unintentional injuries. TRIAD is hosted by the Department of Disease Control and Environmental Health at MakSPH. Over time, TRIAD has evolved from a small unit with a few staff to a centre with an interest in conducting impactful research on Trauma, Injuries and Disability primarily in Uganda. TRIAD work is sustained through partnerships and collaboration with different donors and the Government of Uganda. Over time these donors have included CDC, Tran said, NIH, Bloomberg Philanthropies, World Bank, MakSPH, GIZ, UKAID among others.
