Researcher
Otto is a Public Health researcher with interest in injury research possessing five years’ experience of
field health research. He is currently a Master’s of Public Health candidate at the School of Public Health,
Makerere University, Kampala-Uganda. Under TRIAD, Otto works as a Field coordinator of the
Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) project under MakSPH in partnership
with Johns Hopkins International Injury Research unit. He also has served on various projects under
MakSPH and TRIAD like the Understanding and Preventing Drowning in Uganda, Mobility patterns in the
Kampala Metropolitan Area during the COVID19 pandemic, understanding RMNCAH services in Uganda
among others. He is also a founding Director of Tuko Pamoja Foundation (TPF) Uganda Limited a not-for-
profit organization that promotes education and health among orphans and children living with
HIV/AIDs in Kabarole, Bunyangabu and Kyenjonjo Districts, western Uganda.
