On 14 May 2026, CTRIAD hosted the webinar “Fixing the System, not the Victim: A Safe Systems Dialogue on Road Safety in Uganda.”
Uganda recorded 26,044 road crashes in 2025, with 4,602 of them fatal. This dialogue brought together voices from enforcement, policy, engineering, and research to ask hard questions:
- Are crashes accidents, or system failures?
- What responsibility do institutions carry when deaths occur?
- What investments would save the most lives today?
Moderated by Dr. Jimmy Osuret, the panel featured Dr. Emmerentian Mbabazi, Eng. Jemima Nalumansi, and SP Michael Kananura.

Together, let’s continue the conversation on making Uganda’s roads safer for all.
